Greetings from the East-

Greetings Brothers,

I want to thank everyone who assisted in preparing to receive the Deputy Grand Master last month, and all those who joined us that evening. I believe a fun time was had by all, and it is always a pleasure to hear the Grand Lodge Officers discuss the programs they passionately represent within Masonry. We were also fortunate enough to exemplify the First Degree, performed by Brother Curt Lipkie who did a phenomenal job! Bravo Brother Curt!! It is thrilling to see the fine work the Lodge Officers are doing as they consistently improve and demonstrate their continued dedication to Masonry.

We are fortunate this month to wlecome the Job's Daughters, Bethel #40, into our Lodge meeting on March 16th to share some of their ceremony and Masonic education with us. Hopefully we can fill the Lodge and show them our support in a significant way. These young ladies represent a bright future for our nation and for our Masonic community. Please come and show your appreciation. We will open the Lodge early that night so as not to keep the ladies out too late.

As we bring new members into our Lodge I ask each Master Mason to assist me in Mentoring these individuals and to make their time in Lodge enjoyable and memorable. Mentors befriend and guide while posters assist in learning the necessary information for a specific targeted accomplishment, proficiency. Both are critical functions within the Lodge, and though not mutually exclusively, not every Master Mason can accomplish both. I have been fortunate to have some exceptional Mentors assisting me in my journey through Masonry and someday I hope to share that same deep Masonic wisdom with those in my charge. Let's get these Brothers to the Master Mason level quickly, at the same time taking great care to impart the correct care and sentiment in the knowledge we pass on.

These Brothers become our legacy and the future of Masonry. Fraternally,

Dan Rivers Worshipful Master 2010

Lodge is held at South Denver #93 A.F.&A.M. Every 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 7:15 PM. Officers practice every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

From the Desk of the Secretary-

Brethern,

As your new Secetary I will do my best to accommodate all brethern of our Lodge in their questions and needs. It will again be a pleasure to serve the Lodge in this capacity and I look forward to the challenge.

On a more unpleasant note: Dues are Due. Please remit your dues as promptly as possible as the financial stability of your Lodge depends upon your financial support. Also, please remember that dues are due on or before January 1st and according to the Book of Constitutions of our Grand Lodge if dues are not paid prior to the 1st of May the Worshipful Master shall order the Secetary to notify each delinquent brother to appear at the next Stated Communication to show cause why he should not be suspended for non-payment of dues.

Fraternally, Gerald A. Ford HPGM Secretary
